About Us | A message from our Managing Director

I’m Peter Swan, Founder and Managing Director of Happy Home Care Services, a newly established Home Care Provider based in South Leeds who provide individualised person-centred care that encourages independence, dignity and choice with all that we do.

After having to make the difficult decision to seek care for my elderly parents, Harry and Jean, I soon realised there was a gap in the market for a Home Care Provider in South Leeds that specialised in individualised Private Home Care that would not just enable my parents to live in their home, but remain independent too. And so I have decided to take on one of my most rewarding ventures yet, returning to my roots in Hunslet, and surrounding areas, to provide individualised, person-centred care for those nearest and dearest. 

I am supported in this new venture by my sister, Janice, who has recently retired after more than 30 years of service as a senior nurse, who takes up a consultancy role.

As a Leeds lad born and bred, I understand the importance of family; I attended Hunslet Carr school, Belle Isle school and Parkside school before starting my career as a professional footballer at Leeds United a still work on radio as a football pundit for BBC. But some of the fondest memories I hold are those made in the convenience store, with my mum and dad as well as the many hours playing football on Pepper Road fields, coincidentally now where my office is based. Both my mum and dad served the local community for more than three decades and were respected by many. The love for both of them is what drives me to ensure HHS provide the best in at-home care.
